Bush Commutes Libby Prison Sentence
Bush Commutes Libby Prison Sentence:
President Bush commuted the sentence of former aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby.
Loser.
Mr. President,
History will judge you for your actions, and this war. Now, someone was clearly, and without doubt convicted of a felony, and you decided that he should not pay for his actions. What kind of message does that send? Is it OK for someone to break the law if they are loyal to you, and the vice president?
Why is it that you choose to enforce some parts of the constitution, yet other parts you blatantly ignore? How am I supposed to explain your actions to my daughter, or my newest child on the way? When they read in their history books what you have done, and use the logic and common sense that they were given, how can your actions be explained to them? Clearly, the law was broken, yet you decided to ignore it. The lies have to stop!
If you have any morals, or wish to let history judge you as any kind of honest man, you will do the right thing, and step down. I am more than appalled. I am outraged that this is happening in our country (notice I said “our” country) We The People!
I certainly hope you do not continue to send the wrong message by pardoning more convicted felons. That is certainly no way to be “tough on crime”. Perhaps you actions should follow your ideals, to make you be some what of a credible person.
I hope and pray that you will some day do the right thing, and apologize to the country for all that you have done wrong. Be a man, and own up to your mistakes.
Sincerely,
Bruce Garlock
