Inspectors: IRS lost 490 laptops, many with unencrypted data

There is no excuse for this. When I served in the Air Force, we had a procedure for everything – even making coffee. Don’t we have an IT czar? How hard would it be to come up with some security procedures, and have the masters of audits, perform an audit on themselves?
