Amelia had Mrs. Gusek in first grade, and she is truly a teacher who went above and beyond. She made such an impact on Amelia’s and we were so sad to find out her situation. It was so great to watch the community come together for this special person, and give back. Amelia got to visit with Mrs. Gusek at the benefit, and gave her one of Amelia’s famous hugs 🙂 The hockey benefit was a standing room only event at Cushing Academy and featured the local teachers taking on local law enforcement. The educators ended up winning by a couple of goals! We wish Mrs. Gusek and her family nothing but the best and we’ll be sending our love as you make the journey to Germany and get the treatment you so deserve.
