Apple Store Tips..
I recently visited the Apple Store at the Burlington Mall, to have them take a look at my keyboard, which was missing my arrow keys, due to a spill from Abbey. This was my first visit for anything service related at Apple, and I did not know what to expect. The first thing you have to do, is sign in using any free computer to the concierge service, and “take a number” in the line. The service said I would be served in the next 240 minutes, but there seemed to only be two people ahead of me. I shrugged it off, and sure enough, only two where ahead of me. Perhaps the other people signed in, and left the store. I was served in about 25 minutes.
If you are a ProCare member, you can sign in up to 7 days prior, and pick your times. Well worth it, for the $99 if time is something you do not have a lot of. Well, they looked at my keyboard, put some new keys on, and sent me on my way. No charge, and well over a year out of warranty.Â
I did sign up to be a ProCare member, since the possible time wasted will pay for itself after one use. I was very pleased with the service, but you will have to wait a while, and if you make frequent visits, you may want to pay for the ability to schedule a time before you go to the store.
